Privacy & Cookie Policy

How we handle the information you give us, and how this website uses cookies and analytics.

Last updated: July 2026.

Who we are

This website, containerconversions.co.uk, is operated by Bullman Marine Supplies and Containers Ltd, trading as Container Conversions. When this policy says “we”, “us” or “our”, that is who we mean. We are based at Bullman Marine, 84 River Road, Barking, Essex, IG11 0DS. For anything about your information or this policy, you can reach us on 0208 594 6930 or at enquiries@containerconversions.co.uk.

What this page covers

This page explains, in plain terms, what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how our cookies and analytics work. It covers the containerconversions.co.uk website. Our other websites and any dealings you have with us by phone, email or in person may involve additional information handling that isn’t described here.

Information you give us

Most of the information we hold about you is information you choose to give us — for example when you complete the enquiry form or contact us directly. Depending on how you get in touch, this can include your name, company name, email address, phone number, and whatever details you share about the conversion or project you’re interested in.

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and stay in touch about the work you’ve asked about. We don’t use it for anything unrelated to your enquiry without telling you first.

Enquiries and contact forms

Our enquiry form is handled by a third-party form service (Web3Forms), which receives what you submit and delivers it to our enquiries inbox. Your submission travels securely to that service and then to us by email. We ask for your consent on the form before you send it, and we only use the details to deal with your enquiry. If you’d rather not use the form, you can always phone or email us instead.

Analytics and website measurement

We’d like to understand how visitors use this website — which pages are popular, how people arrive, and where things could be clearer — so we can improve it. To do this we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager.

Analytics is optional. It only runs if you allow analytics cookies through our cookie banner. Until you do, analytics is switched off, and we use Google Consent Mode to make sure measurement tags respect your choice. If you don’t consent, you can still use the whole site normally.

Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small files a website can store on your device; “local storage” is a similar way a site can remember small pieces of information in your browser. This site uses both, but only as described below.

Necessary cookies and storage

These are needed for the site to work properly and to remember your cookie choice, so they’re always on. In particular, we store your cookie preference in your browser’s local storage under the name fd_consent_v1 so we don’t have to ask you again on every page. This preference stays in your browser until you clear it or change your choice.

Analytics cookies

If you allow them, analytics cookies (set by Google Analytics) help us measure how the site is used. They’re optional, off by default, and only set after you accept them through the banner. You can withdraw this at any time (see below).

Marketing cookies

We are not currently using marketing cookies on this site. Our cookie banner includes a “Marketing” category so the option is there for the future — for example if we ever run advertising — but it stays switched off unless and until we actually use it, and even then only if you allow it.

How to change your cookie settings

You’re in control. You can accept all, reject all, or choose per category when you first arrive, and you can change your mind whenever you like using the button below or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.

You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Clearing your browser storage will remove your saved preference, and the banner will appear again on your next visit.

Third-party services we use

Some parts of the site rely on trusted third parties, and using the site means some data (such as your IP address) may be shared with them so their features work:

  • Google Tag Manager — used to load and manage tags (including analytics) in line with your cookie choices.
  • Google Analytics — website measurement, only when you allow analytics cookies.
  • Google Fonts — used to display the site’s typefaces.
  • Google Maps — used to show our location on the contact page.
  • Web3Forms — processes enquiry-form submissions and delivers them to us.
  • Cloudflare — hosts and delivers the website and helps keep it secure.
  • Image hosting — some images are served from our sister site, allcontainers.co.uk.

These providers handle data under their own privacy terms. We may add further tools over time (for example additional website-analytics), and where we do we’ll update this page.

Who we share information with

We don’t sell your information. We share it only where it’s needed to run the website and respond to you — for example the form and hosting providers listed above — or where we’re required to by law. Your enquiry details are used by us to deal with your enquiry and are not passed on for unrelated marketing by others.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records, then we delete or archive it. Your cookie preference stays in your browser until you clear it or change it. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal information, including the right to ask for a copy of what we hold, to have it corrected if it’s wrong, to ask us to delete it, and to object to or restrict certain uses. To make a request, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.

A note on this policy

This is a practical, plain-English privacy and cookie notice describing how this website works. It’s intended to be clear and honest rather than exhaustive, and it isn’t formal legal advice. If you need formal assurance that it meets every requirement that applies to your business, we’d recommend having it reviewed by a suitably qualified data-protection or legal professional.
